Due to our Non-Disclosure Agreement with our valued clients, the names of their company shall be strictly Confidential and shall not be disclosed without the clients prior Consent. This term shall be non-negotiable since the privacy of the clients is one of the top priority of our company. We will call our client “ePay“.

About the Client

ePay is a rewards-based mobile payment network and blockchain platform which specializes in providing a seamless transaction for the dining sector and for people who have busy lifestyles that are always on the go. The purpose of ePay is to provide its customers with an alternative payment option that can be easy to use and possibly shorten the time for their transactions to be completed. ePay has raised an accumulated funding of $18M from different VCs.

The Challenge

ePay is determined in pushing through with a more enhanced and easy to use version 2 of their Mobile Application. They want to provide their customers an access to virtual currency, but like many other software companies, our client lacked the necessary resources to implement these features and product enhancements quickly enough as required in their competitive strategy. This is the point where Futuristech comes in.

At first, ePay was anxious in dealing with an external party because of the following reasons:

  1. Developer Talent – Are these developers equipped with the necessary skills that we’re looking for?
  2. Intellectual Property Rights – Is there a possibility the this company will steal our ideas and source code and create a product of their own to compete with our current product?

Other concerns are also present and we understand our client’s anxiousness because it’s their first time to outsource their project.

The Solution

Before we started working with ePay, they conducted an exam which our top developers were able to pass in order to confirm our credibility and competence in the project. We also signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement highlighting that all their Intellectual Property Rights will solely belong to ePay.

ePay has an internal senior developer who monitors all our work progress through daily meetings via Zoom. The meetings include our daily goals and the current hurdles our team is facing in achieving those goals. Their internal developer made sure that a) we learn and master the software code base, b) our compliance with the given requirements, c) the quality of our code, d) and the timeliness of our deliveries. Our other team members use Slack as a communication tool.
